<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a cleaning apparatus to a collecting position by simple operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This cleaning apparatus includes: a cleaning apparatus body 1 for cleaning the floor surface while traveling under the water; and a wireless remote operating means 2 for remote-operating the cleaning apparatus body 1. The remote-operating means 2 includes: at least two receiving parts 11, 11 provided on the cleaning apparatus body 1; and a transmitter 12 for transmitting a predetermined ultrasonic wave to the respective receiving parts 11, 11 at a position away from the respective receiving parts 11, 11. When the ultrasonic waves transmitted from the transmitter 12 are received by the respective receiving parts 11, 11, the cleaning apparatus body 1 is changed in direction so that the respective receiving information pieces are equalized where the receiving information pieces of ultrasonic waves received by the respective receiving parts 11, 11 are different, and point its course to the transmitter 12 when the receiving information pieces of the respective receiving parts 11, 11 are equalized.
