<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to maintain comfort environment of indoor, and to save energy by appropriately driving the air conditioner depending on the location of persons. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner comprises a housing, a heat-exchanger, a fan, left and right wind plates, top and bottom wind plates, and an infrared sensor. Multiple temporary determination sections are set, and it is temporarily determined whether persons exist or not(S2). If a value output from the infrared sensor of the temporary determination sections is less than a threshold value, the area, in which persons exist, is finally determined based on the temporary determination(S8).</p> |
