<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily release a deceleration control mode with a simple operation and restrain a variation in braking force at the time of the releasing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: It is possible to shift to a deceleration control mode by the operation of a deceleration setting means of a steering column even if a shift lever is kept to be at a "D" position. The deceleration control mode is released by the D→E→D shift of the shift lever and is also released in case that a target deceleration recovers nearly to a D range by the operation of the deceleration setting means of the steering column. When the target deceleration recovers to the D range to release the deceleration control mode, the deceleration control is immediately stopped in Step S6.
