<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech translation device, method and program capable of reducing burdens on users regarding the correction of utterance contents. <P>SOLUTION: A voice input accepting unit 100 accepts the input of Japanese spoken voice. Every time the input of spoken voice is accepted, a speech recognition unit 120 recognizes the spoken voice and creates a character string. An accumulation unit 42 accumulates character strings. A determining unit 130 determines whether a second character string, which is a candidate to be newly accumulated, is a rephrasing of a first character string previously accumulated. A correction unit 140 accumulates the second character string in the accumulation unit 42 if the second character string is not a rephrasing; if it is a rephrasing, the first character string is corrected into the second character string, which is then accumulated in the accumulation unit 42. Every time a character string is accumulated in the accumulation unit 42, a translation unit 150 translates the accumulated character string into English, and an output unit 30 outputs the translation results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
