PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for manufacturing a mold capable of molding a desired shape of lens, by a simple method, even in a case where the shape of the lens molded when molding the lens is deformed. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the mold for the lens molds a lens curved face by transferring a molding face shape onto a lens material, and includes steps of manufacturing a test lens by molding using a test mold having a molding face formed face-likely based on a lens design value, of specifying an error amount from the design value on a reference line of a test lens curved face, of dividing the test lens curved face into a plurality of virtual areas along a direction determined based on the reference line, to calculate correction information, based on the specified error amount in each divided virtual area, of correcting the molding face shape of the test mold by the calculated correction information, to determine the molding face shape, and of manufacturing the mold having the determined molding face shape.
