<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superheated steam heater enabling heating by superheated steam, preventing generation of carbon dioxide and adjusting an indoor space at appropriate humidity during heating. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plurality of annular containers 10 with water storage parts 13 are juxtaposed, and a sheathed heater 20 is arranged inside an inner cylinder 12 of each of the annular containers 10. Water supplied to the water storage part 13 is heated by the sheathed heater 20, and superheated steam S is discharged from a discharge hole 16 in the upper part of the water storage part 13. The superheated steam S is further heated by a projecting part 20a of the sheathed heater 20. Hot air heated by the sheathed heater 20 and the superheated steam S are mixed by an air blowing fan 25 arranged in the lower part of each of the annular containers 10, and are mixed on an air blowing passage 23a of an air blowing duct 23. Blowing air from an upper air blowing fan 26 is mixed with the hot air and superheated steam S. Due to the blowing air from the upper air blowing fan 26, the amount of the superheated steam S included in the unit volume of the hot air is adjusted, and humidity of the hot air blown out from an air blowing port 31 to outside (indoor space) is adjusted.
