INFORMATION STORAGE MEDIUM, REPRODUCING METHOD, AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium on which a bar code pattern is recorded even by an existing BCA recording apparatus by adding another material to a short wavelength-adapted dye recording material of the next generation, thereby having sensitivity to even laser beams of a comparatively long wavelength, and to provide a recording method and recording device using the storage medium.

SOLUTION: The write-once information storage medium uses for a recording layer an organic dye-based recording material which is adjusted by mixing an organic dye-based recording material absorbing a 600-700 nm wavelength to that corresponding to a 405 nm wavelength so as to have recording sensitivity to a wavelength used as the laser light source of the existing BCA recording apparatus.
