PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a quantitative analysis of a moving region such as a lung or a heart. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes a storage part 112 which stores data of two or more images which include an examination target region of a subject and differ in phases of breathing and heartbeats, a reference point specifying part 117 specifying a reference point, which is located inside or near a region of the examination target region and undergoes relatively small displacement accompanying motions by breathing or heartbeats, from each image, and a moving amount calculation part 119 which calculates a moving amount accompanying phase changes of breathing or the heartbeats by using the reference point as a reference for each of a plurality of interest points on the examination target region.
