Speed control device for vehicles, comprising a speed acquiring unit, a position acquiring unit, a curve acquiring unit acquiring shape and position of a single curve in front, a reference point setting unit setting a first point within the curve and a second point within the curve on the side nearer to the exit than the first point, a distance calculating unit calculating a first distance as a distance between the vehicle and the first point, and a second distance as a distance between the vehicle and the second point, a target speed determination unit determining a first target speed as a target speed until the vehicle passes the first point and a second target speed as the target speed after the vehicle passes the first point, and a speed control unit controlling the vehicle speed.
