Provided is a tape feeder wherein centering of a component is facilitated. At a component take out port (10) for taking out a component (5) from a tape feeder, a symmetric marker (15) is arranged. The symmetric marker is composed of a line-symmetric pattern which has a position (p1) at the center. The position (p1) is a position where the center (p) of the component (5) is to be aligned in a tape feeding direction (shown by an arrow (a)). The pattern visually changes at prescribed intervals. When the component (5) is aligned to have an equal luminance of the symmetric marker (15) at the front end position (p2) of the component (5) and at the rear end of position (p3), the center (p) of the component (5) is aligned with the center (p1) of the symmetric marker (15), namely, the component (5) is centered.
