PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for a catch basin permitting a plurality of side-ditch blocks to be connected with one another in different angles while keeping strength. SOLUTION: The concrete block 10 for the catch basin has a first to a forth side walls 11-14 arranged on the four sides while a bottom 15 is open and a lid-receiving frame 30 is mounted on the top. The first to the third side walls 11-13 include knockout holes 29 which are punched for forming a water passage. The wall thickness of the forth side wall 14 is thicker than the wall thicknesses of the first to the third side walls 11-13, and a water passage 24 passing through the side wall 14 is formed in advance.
