摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a multilater ceramic electronic component such as a multilater ceramic capacitor in which variation in capacity can be improved by improving end oxidation of an internal electrode layer employing a base metal. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing a multilater ceramic electronic component including a dielectric layer having an interlayer thickness of &le;5 &mu;m and an internal electrode layer containing a base metal, comprises a step for calcinating a multilayer body arranged alternately with one hundred layers or more of paste for dielectric layer and paste for internal electrode layer containing a base metal under reducing atmosphere of oxygen partial pressure P1 and then annealing it at retention temperature T2, and a step for heat treating the annealed multilayer body under strong reducing atmosphere of oxygen partial pressure P3 (6.7&times;10<SP>-24</SP>to 2.7&times;10<SP>-17</SP>Pa) lower than the oxygen partial pressure P1 at retention temperature T3 (600-700&deg;C) lower than the retention temperature T2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
