PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beverage dispenser which is low in its consumed electric power and can effectively kill bacteria. SOLUTION: In a low-temperature tank 35, sterilizing lamps 60 and 61 as sterilizers are inserted. One of the sterilizing lamps is turned on for a prescribed time at intervals of prescribed times irrespective of the consumption frequency of drinking water. The other sterilizing lamp 60 is turned on before water is supplied. When a user desires to inject water, a preliminary button 21 is pressed before a water injection button 20. When the preparation button 21 is turned on, the sterilizing lamp 60 turns lit. At the same time, a preliminary lamp 23 changes to flicker in blue color. When the prescribed time elapses, the water comes ready to be injected.
