<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the working accuracy of the internal tooth of a workpiece. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pressing device is provided with: a punch (20) having a plurality of spline-shaped tooth forms (22) on the outer peripheral surface (21) which is fitted into the inside of the cylinder of a bottomed cylindrical workpiece (10) from the side of an open end of the workpiece (10); a die (30) having a working hole (35) into which the punch (20) is force-fitted, wherein the insertion side of the inner peripheral surface (31) of the die (30) has a spline-like tooth shape wherein the recessed parts (34) and projecting parts (33) are respectively opposed to the projecting parts (23) and recessed parts (24) of the punch (20), and the opposite side of the punch (20) insertion side has a cylindrical wall surface; and a pressing part by which one side of the punch (20) and the die (30) is pressurized toward the other side.
