At least one of opposite end margins (40 and 42) of the shelf member (16) is arranged to locate within one or slots (24, 26) formed in a wall (18, 22) of the beam and wherein at least one of the web end margins includes a laterally extending abutment shoulder (56) further arranged to locate within the one or more slots. A beam incorporating the one or more slots to receive the shelf member as well as a shelf storage system is also disclosed.</p>
