<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for treating waste water capable of reducing the amount of sludge discharged out of the system by keeping a quality of the discharged waste water below, but close to, a prescribed value. <P>SOLUTION: The system comprises an aeration tank 1 having a diffuser 11, a settling tank 2 for receiving the waste water from the aeration tank 1 for a sedimentation treatment, a returning means 7 for returning the waste water from the settling tank 2 to the aeration tank 1, an agitator 41 for agitating the waste water in the settling tank 2, a measuring instrument 44 for measuring a suspension content in the discharged waste water, and a controller 47 for controlling the agitator 41 in response to the signal from the measuring instrument 44. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
