<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow rate control valve which secures a stable operation, surely prevents dislocation of a pipe connected with the valve and damage on a bottom section of a valve body and maintains a smooth operation of a compressor even when it is used for a refrigerating cycle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The flow rate control valve 1 includes the valve body 2 internally having a valve chamber 5 and formed in a cylinder shape with a bottom, a projection section 2b arranged on the bottom of the valve body 2 and projecting toward an outflow tube 4 joined to the bottom of the valve body 2, and a valve hole 6 drilled on the projection section 2b and forming a flow passage for communication between the valve chamber 5 and the outflow tube 4, a valve 7 for opening and closing the valve hole 6, driving mechanisms 12-14 arranged inside the valve body 2 and moving the valve 7 in a direction for opening and closing the valve hole 6, and a coil mold 8 mounted on an outer periphery of the valve body 2 and generating an electromagnetic force for driving the driving mechanisms 12-14. The projection section 2b includes a large diameter section 2e brought into contact with an inner wall of the outflow tube 4, and a small diameter section 2d arranged between the large diameter section 2e and a bottom of the valve body 2 and forming a gap 16 between an inner wall of the outflow tube 4 and the projection section 2b.
