<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact point computing method combining improvement of processing speed and maintenance of accuracy. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Topographic data 13b with elevation associated with coordinates is divided into mesh-like areas, and then the maximum value n of elevation data is extracted as a representative value for every area to uniform and thin out altitude data. In a passing area of a route of a flying body obtained by a simulator 100, the minimum value m of altitude data of the flying body is extracted as a representative value to thin out route data. Using these thinned-out data, an area where the minimum value m of the altitude data is not larger than the maximum value n of the elevation data is discriminated as an area to be processed.
