The advent wreath (10) has a ring (12) made up of electrically insulating material, which consists of a recess for receiving of a lamp (20) with a lamp body (22). The lamp body is made up of electrically insulating material. The recess has contact elements (16a,18a) which are connected with a voltage source. The lamp body has two contact junctions which are connected with an electrical light source (24). The switching on or switching off of the light source takes place by changing the position of the lamp to the ring.
