<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hub unit bearing having a good coating film on a peripheral surface of a pilot outer diameter part of the hub unit bearing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hub 13 is dried after performing degreasing washing in order to remove oil and fat content and an electrode is attached to the dried hub 13. Only the pilot outer diameter part 42 is immersed in an electrodeposition tank developed with a dissociable aqueous solution type coating, a voltage is applied between an electrode provided in the electrodeposition tank and it, and ionized coating ions are electrodeposited on the peripheral surface of the pilot outer diameter part 42. After completion of electrodeposition of the coating, baking is performed at high temperature, and cooling is performed. Thus the electrodeposition coating is cured to form the coating film.
