<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a large stroke amount above and below a switching valve by keeping an overall height low. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The switching valve 20 is stored in a valve housing 17 between an impact cylinder 6 and a cylinder cap 14 and air supply ports 24, 25 having different cross sections are selectively opened and closed by vertical movement of the switching valve 20. An operation rod 21 of the switching valve is penetrated through the cylinder cap 14 and a guide pin 26 is set onto a top end of the operation rod 21 in an orthogonal direction. Besides, a switching dial is attached onto a top portion of the cylinder cap 14 so as to rotate around the operation rod 21, a guide groove whose middle portion is inclined is formed on a sidewall portion of the switching dial and the guide pin is slidably engaged along the guide groove so as not to turn.
