<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preliminary-treatment method for molten iron using a torpedo-car, wherein the stirring of the molten iron at the end part of the torpedo-car body (furnace body) is efficiently performed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the preliminary-treatment for molten iron 1 is performed, an oscillating device 23 is connected to the torpedo-car 10 and the vibration in the horizontal direction is given to the torpedo-car 10, with this oscillating device 23 and the furnace body 11 is vibrated in the longitudinal direction with resonant frequency of the molten iron 1.
