PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a running control apparatus having an improved feel of steering input by the driver during automatic-steering control. SOLUTION: A computation unit of automatic-steering electric current calculates automatic-steering electric current based on a target steering angle. Computation means of auxiliary-steering electric current calculates auxiliary-steering electric current based on the steering torque that the driver inputs. Demand degree determining means determines the degree of driver's deviation demand from the target course based on the steering input from the driver to a steering wheel. The output rate of the auxiliary-steering electric current increases or decreases depending on high or low degree of the driver's deviation demand that the demand degree determining means determines. The output rate of automatic-steering electric current decreases or increases depending on the increase or decrease of the output rate of the auxiliary-steering electric current. Output rate setting means sets the first output rate to an upper limit rate when the driver's deviation demand is the highest, and sets the first output rate to a lower rate than the upper limit rate when the demand determining means determines that the driver's deviation degree has decreased.
