<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system, an image forming apparatus, an image processing apparatus, and an image forming method which can suppress an increase in the amount of data even when printing image data with a high resolution. <P>SOLUTION: Obtained PDL data are divided into vector data and raster data according to attributes of objects (step S101), and the divided raster data and vector data are transmitted to a print engine 22 (steps S106, S107). Then, the irradiation timing of a light-emitting device when printing each object is acquired on the basis of the edge of each object of the received vector data, and generates vector print signals for printing the vector data from the timing (step S110).
