<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the work of attaching a gas sensor to an attached portion and improve the sealing capability of a portion of contact between the gas sensor and the attached portion. <P>SOLUTION: In the gas sensor including a sensor element 18 having a detecting function and an attaching portion 20 for attaching the sensor element 18 to an attached portion, the attaching portion 20 is constituted by a sealing member 24 and a bolt member 26 rotatable with respect to the sealing member 24. The sealing member 24 makes contact with a boss 42 to constitute a sealing portion, and the tapered angle θ of a tapered surface 28, which is formed in the sealing member 24, with respect to the horizontal direction and the tapered angle ψ of a tapered surface 36, which is formed in the boss 42, with respect to the horizontal direction are formed to be such angles that the sealing member 24 and the boss 42 are always in contact with each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
