PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which an operation control of a delicate caulking force is not only complicated but also causing increase in the number of components as well as in the cost, since a stop ring of an optical connector plug is such that a Kevlar (R) of an optical fiber cable is caulked with a metallic caulking ring, with the jacket of the cable further doubly fixedly caulked with another metallic ring, and in which use of a number of metallic members as constituents has a possibility of increasing connection loss when rust generated with lapse of time in each member sticks to the end face of a ferrule. Ž
SOLUTION: The optical connector plug is characterized in that a flange for holding a ferrule which terminates a coated optical fiber is supported freely movably forward and backward between the flange and a stop ring through a coil spring and is housed in a frame, and that one end of the stop ring is surrounded with the reinforcing member and the jacket of the optical fiber cable having the coated optical fiber, with the two parts integrally and fixedly caulked by a caulking means.
