The arrangement has a shaft-like connection element (19) comprising two shaft ends (19.1, 19.2) provided with external tooth systems (21.1, 21.2). One shaft end is arranged in a recess (7) of a crankshaft (2) of an internal combustion engine and the other shaft end is arranged in another recess (15) of a generator shaft (12) of a generator. The recesses exhibit internal tooth systems (10, 18) corresponding with the external tooth systems of the shaft ends of the connection element. The internal tooth system and the external tooth system are provided with wedge shaft profiles.
