Disclosed is a glucokinase activator compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein Q represents a carbon atom, a nitrogen atom or a sulfur atom optionally substituted with one or two oxo groups, X represents a carbon atom, ring A represents a 5-or 6-membered nitrogen-containing heteroaromatic group and wherein the rest of the substituents are disclosed within the specification.
