The case is made of lead and has a base and a pivoted lid which define a cavity within which the hypodermic is placed. The entire hypodermic is located within the case and movement of the piston of the hypodermic is by a worm drive controlled by a Laud wheel located externally of the case. Enables injection of radioactive material without risk to operator.
