PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package which can prevent deformation at a part of an adapter susceptible to flexure, and to provide an ink cartridge. SOLUTION: A package 220 includes an adapter 27, an ink tank package 130, and a paper box 222. The adapter 27 and the ink tank package 130 are placed in the paper box 222. The ink tank package 130 packs an ink tank 25 in an accommodation bag 128 in the state of low pressure which is lower than the atmospheric pressure. The adapter 27 is placed in a case 280 together with the ink tank 25 and if they are packed in the accommodation bag 128 in the low-pressure state, low-rigidity portions (e.g. a portion to be detected 186, and sidewalls 165, 166) flex.
