<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat improved in gripping feeling and holding force by fingers by additionally incorporating a simple structure between a rod body and a seat base. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An elastically deformable cushioning member 5 is fitted to a blank 1, and a seat base 3A for attaching a reel is fitted to the cushioning member 5. A notch part 3c for exposing the cushioning member 5 is formed on the opposite side to a reel installation surface 3a for attaching the reel in a seat base 3A relative to the rod axis.
