The motor (1) has a digital signal processor, and a plastic stator (14) formed as a base unit and a rotor made from magnetic compound e.g. plastic. The stator and the rotor form a construction unit without iron, where the construction unit is alternatively operated without sensors with commutation or with sensors and for precision positioning. The stator has a punched and folded winding made of copper sheet metal. A drive has a number of magnetic rings (11) with magnetic poles, where the rings are connected with each other by a shaft bearing (12). An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling a plastic motor.
