摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller bearing for a machine tool for reducing the weight of a rolling element and improving the anti-seizing property, suppressing the damage of a raceway member when a trouble occurs. SOLUTION: A ball 13 constituting an angular ball bearing 1 for rotatably supporting the spindle of a machine tool with respect to a housing disposed opposite to the main shaft is formed of a sintered body comprising, as the main component, aβsialon represented by a compositional formula of Si6-ZAlZOZN8-Z, satisfying 0.1≤z≤3.5, and impurities as the remainder, and has a Young's modulus of 180 to 270 GPa.
