PHOSPHOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A phosphor is provided to prevent the reaction with moisture by forming a coating layer through uniform coating the surface of the phosphor with metal oxides, thereby improving stability to moisture. CONSTITUTION: A phosphor(100) comprises a silicate-based phosphor particles(110), and a coating layer(120) which is formed on the surface of the phosphor particles and contains metal oxides. A method for preparing the phosphor comprises the steps of: mixing a precursor of metal oxides, solvent, phosphor and water to form a coating layer including metal oxide; separating and drying the phosphor formed with a coating layer; and heat-treating the dried phosphor.
