<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device provided with a thin-film magnetic head having a function of magnetic driving in microwave band for suppressing and preventing radiation of an electromagnetic wave to the outside by effectively discharging heat. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The magnetic recording/reproducing device includes a thin-film magnetic head having a means 19b for generating resonance magnetic field in microwave band, disposed in a metal casing 20, a write signal generation means, a write signal transmission means, a microwave oscillation means 19b disposed outside the metal casing 20, a microwave exciting signal transmission means having at least a part disposed outside the metal casing 20, and a metal shield cover 21 for covering a part disposed outside the metal casing 20 of the microwave oscillation means 19b and the microwave exciting signal transmission means. At least one through-hole 21a is formed on the top plate of the metal shield cover 21. The diameter d of the through-hole 21a is defined as d<1.84×λ<SB>FR</SB>where λ<SB>FR</SB>denotes a wavelength (wavelength in free space) of the microwave exciting signal.
