PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid electrolytic capacitor which is small in leakage current percent defective. SOLUTION: This solid electrolytic capacitor includes a solid electrolytic capacitor element, wherein a dielectric layer 4, a solid electrolyte layer 5 formed of a soluble conductive polymer solution, and a negative electrode layer are sequentially formed on a columnar positive electrode body formed of a porous body of a valve action metal with a positive electrode lead 2 led out therefrom.
