A stair arrangement (1) comprising a frame (2) and a door (3) associated with the frame at a hinge end (4), the frame presenting a bias strut (14) with a suspended pivot end (19) secured to a hinge arm (15) which extends to a portion of the door displaced from the hinge end (4), a door arm (16) extending from towards an opposite end (23) of the door to the hinge end (4) to a pivot position upon the hinge arm (15), the pivot position towards the pivot end association of the hinge arm (15) to define a mechanical lever to regulate with the bias strut (14) pivot movement of the door (3) about the hinge end (4).
