The invention relates to a method for positioning and securing detachable elements for wind tunnel test models. The detachable elements (1) are parts that are positioned against the object to be tested in order to measure aerodynamic properties and check adverse effects generated on test surfaces, such as horizontal and vertical stabilisers, high-lift elements, etc. Once the geometry required for the detachable element is known, the shape of the detachable element (1) is stereolithographically reproduced, said geometry being determined by flight conditions, atmospheric conditions and the original aerodynamic surface. Moreover, extensions (4) are formed, which match the aerodynamic geometry of the object (3) and are disposed in strategically selected positions. The assembly acts as a negative mould which is positioned against, and matches, the shape of the leading edge. Next, adhesive is applied to the surface of the detachable element (1) but not the extensions (4) which are subsequently removed.
|
