<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional dialysis needle detachment and blood leakage detecting sensor requires too much time to detect detachment after the detachment of a dialysis needle since it takes a long time to establish electrical continuity between electrodes 2, 3 and branch electrodes 4, 5. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Ultrasonic transducers 9, 10 are mounted in the middle of respective dialysis needles 7, 8. Each of the dialysis needles 7, 8 has one end connected to a dialyzer 11 and the other end inserted into a blood vessel 13 below a skin 12, and the ultrasonic transducers 9, 10 are connected each to an oscillator 14 and an echo detecting device 15.
