PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the deterioration of image quality in a subtraction image which is caused by beam hardening, radiation scattering, or the like concerning an energy subtraction processing by two shot method. SOLUTION: A hierarchical adjustment processing is performed with respect to a high-energy image HP or a low-energy image LP as a pre-processing for performing the energy subtraction processing through the use of the high-energy image HP and the low-energy image LP acquired by two shot method. In this case, the hierarchical adjustment is performed so as to obtain larger contrast in the low-concentration area LCH of the high-energy image HP and also to obtain smaller contrast in the low-concentration area LCL of the low-energy image LP.
