PURPOSE:To improve the flow characteristics of the compostion and the rigidity, etc., of moldings without detriment to the appearance, the impact strength, etc., of the moldings, by blending a polypropylene resin with a reinforcing fiber having an average fiber diameter and an average fiber length, both within a specified range. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polypropylene resin (A) is mixed with 0.5-5pts.wt. reinforcing fiber (B) having an average fiber diameter of 0.1-2mum and an average fiber length of 20-150mum and pref. further 0.01-3pts.wt. nucleating agent (C) (e.g., aluminum benzoate or dibenzylidene sorbitol) to obtain the desired polypropylene resin compsn. Examples of the composition B are potassium titanate fiber, gypsum fiber, fibrous magnesium oxysulfate, magnesium oxide fiber, etc. |
