<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device reducing a time up to completion of a server linking function, by solving the nonconformity of having to wait for the reception of processed data transferred from a server, as the number of image forming devices simultaneously connected to an external device reaches its upper limit value for a connection request, given from the server to the image forming device at the completion of processing by the server, after data transmission to the server for data processing and then a temporary disconnection from the server. <P>SOLUTION: Whether the current number of devices connected with the external device reaches a connection limited number or the upper limit number of simultaneously connectable devices, is determined by a determining means 12 in the execution of the server linking function.
