<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for performing overdriving with small power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal driver 3 includes a display memory 22 which receives and holds image data, an overdrive memory 23 which holds at least part of the image data stored in the display memory as previous-frame image data, an overdrive processing circuit 24 configured to generate post processing image data by performing overdrive processing on the image data read out of the display memory 22, and a data line driving circuit 25 driving the liquid crystal display panel 2 with the post processing image data. The writing of the previous-frame image data to the overdrive memory 23, reading of the previous-frame image data from the overdrive memory 23, and the overdrive processing by the overdrive processing circuit 24 are executed or stopped depending upon the image data is written to the display memory 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
