<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a radar device capable of determining the correct combination, using three or more types of frequency modulations without using things such as the order, amplitude information, and of phase information of peak beat frequencies detected by respective frequency modulations. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a signal generator 1 for generating a transmission signal having a transmission frequency superposed by four types of frequency modulations; a divider 2 dividing the transmission signal, a transmitting antenna 3 emitting divided transmission signals into space, a receiving antenna 4 for retrieving a reception waves reflected by a target; a mixer 5 mixing the transmission signal from the divider 2 and the reception signal from the receiving antenna 4 and generating a beat signal; an A/D-converting part 6 for converting the beat signal from an analog signal to a digital signal; and a signal processing part 7 determining the distance to the target and the velocity of the target, based on the beat signal from the A/D-converting part 6.
