<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate detecting device for detecting the position of two-point contact. <P>SOLUTION: This coordinate detecting device is provided with a resistive film formed on a quadrangular substrate configured of an insulating body; a power source for applying a voltage to the resistive film; four electrodes installed on the resistive film at four corners connected to the power source; four switches installed between the power source and each electrode; four current measuring instruments for measuring currents flowing through respective electrodes; and a grounded conductive film to be brought into contact with the resistive film for detecting contact position coordinates in the resistive film. A voltage is successively applied to four electrodes by opening/closing the switches, and the resistive film is brought into contact with the conductive film, and each current value is measured by the four current measuring instruments connected to the electrodes, and the contact position of each electrode and the resistive film with the conductive film is detected based on a resistance value obtained based on each current value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
