<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk recording and reproducing apparatus and an ink mist capturing method for the disk recording and reproducing apparatus which prevent contamination inside the apparatus with ink by efficiently capturing ink mist scattered inside the apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The disk recording and reproducing apparatus comprises: a rotation driving part which rotates a disk-like medium mounted detachably thereon; a movable printing head 150 which jets ink droplets onto the printing surface of the disk-like medium rotated by the rotation driving part; and a first mist capturing part 160A which is connected with a printing head to be movable integrally with the printing head and can capture ink mist jetted with the ink droplets from the printing head and scattered in the vicinity of the disk-like medium and which is smaller in volume than the ink droplets.
