System for controlling the stability and the trajectory of an automobile using an active brake servo unit

The system has a tandem master cylinder (3) supplying braking circuits, where each circuit has high pressure accumulators (4a, 4b) supplying brake elements i.e. disk brakes (8a-8d). A servobrake (2) i.e. reversible electromechanical actuator, acting on the cylinder increases forces received from a brake pedal (1) and generates force in the absence of action on the pedal. Normally opened solenoid valves (6a-6d) and hydraulic pumps (9a-9d) are associated to each brake. The valves and the pumps are actuated together to permit the system to individually decrease the pressure in calipers (7a-7d). An independent claim is also included for a method for implementing a motor vehicle's stability and trajectory controlling system.
