The seat (10) has a case fixed at a floor pan (20) of a motor vehicle by a flexible attachment i.e. safety belt strap, and fixed in a housing of a base (12) by hook and loop type self gripping fixation units, such that the case follows the base in its movement between extended and folded positions of the seat. The case is fixed in a vertical position in the housing, and receives and locks a safety belt bolt. The housing is opened on a rear face of the base. Guiding tie rods (24) are articulated along horizontal axes. A backrest (14) is arranged against the base in the folded position.
