PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a bead filler, satisfying both of a high elastic modulus and a high strength at break, with a low rolling resistance, while aiming at the reduction of environmental load by blending regenerated rubber. SOLUTION: This rubber composition is obtained by blending 2 to 20 pts.wt. regenerated rubber,≥60 pts.wt. carbon black having 25 to 100 m<SP>2</SP>/g nitrogen adsorption specific surface area and 4 to 18 pts.wt. thermosetting resin based on 100 pts.wt. diene-based rubber containing≥61 wt.% natural rubber, and 5 to 15 wt.% curing agent based on the blending amount of the above thermosetting resin, and is characterized in that the Mooney viscosity of the regenerated rubber is 35 to 65, the natural rubber-containing ratio in the rubber component of the regenerated rubber is≥60 wt.%, and the weight-average molecular weight of sol of the regenerated rubber, obtained by a gel permeation chromatography is≤60,000.
