<p>PURPOSE: A discontinuous receiving method of a portable terminal and an apparatus thereof are provided to determine a DRX as a start time point at a time point when a packet is successfully received by allocated semi-permanent transmission resources, thereby allocating an activation section of the DRX in an allocation section of the semi-permanent transmission resources. CONSTITUTION: Call setup of the first and second portable terminals are completed(S440). If traffic of the set call is generated, a base station allocates semi-permanent transmission resources to the portable terminals(S450). The first portable terminal determines an offset. The offset is a parameter for determining a DRX(Discontinuous Reception) start time point. If the first portable terminal receives a packet through the allocated semi-permanent transmission resources, the first portable terminal determines the DRX start time point. The first portable terminal performs DRX.</p> |
